Avene SPF 50+ Very High Protection Cream Reviews
12 of 12 people found the following review helpful Ingredients listed on page differ from actual product. It also has OCTOCRYLENE, AVOBENZONE & does not contain ZnO (Zinc oxide)., By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Avene SPF 50+ Very High Protection Cream (Health and Beauty) The sunscreen ingredients listed on the Amazon page are off.It does contain the TINSORB M(Methylene bis-benzotriazolyl thetramethylbutyl-phenol) and TINSORB S(bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine) as described...BUT, There are additional chemical sunscreen ingredients of OCTOCRYLENE and AVOBENZONE(Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane) and there is NO Zinc Oxide(ZnO)! This disappointed me because it stated having ZnO (Zinc Oxide)on the page description. You are led to believe it has Zinc based on the Description in parenthesis next to MPI. When I received my shipment and did not see Zinc on the actual box ingredients listing and saw the additional ingredients of Avobenzone and Octocrylene I felt very bothered since they had things described differently on the product page. So as a favor to all of you out there, since they do not list all the ingredients on the amazon product page, I have taken a photo of the ingredients listing and posted... They both work very well and are safer than our American sunblocks that are full of endocrine disruptors and cancer causing agents (Thanks FDA). I suggest using enough to cast a white hue (not globs!) - it will absorb into your skin to be clear. This bottle did not last very long though (that's why only 4 stars). The lotion seems to last through more uses and the spray seems to last the longest (in terms of use, not hours of protection). The EU is preventing their bottles from being labeled by SPF number from now on, So don't expect to see future bottles of "50". They will be called "Very High Protection". |
